Come check out our boarding facilities at Smith Animal Clinic in Red Bay, Alabama. If you need a home away from home for your four legged friends, bring your babies to us and we’ll take good care of them for you. When you board with us, you can have peace of mind while you’re away knowing that your pets are safe and well cared for.
At Smith Animal Clinic, we take pride in our clean and secure boarding facilities that accommodate both dogs and cats. Our canine guests have access to comfortable indoor kennels, outdoor runs, and are taken outside to play and take care of business several times a day. Our kennels can accommodate larger dogs up to 100 pounds as well as families of multiple small to medium dogs. Our feline friends are housed in a separate area away from their rambunctious doggy counterparts. Here, they receive individualized attention 2 to 3 times a day, and they are supplied with cozy beds, blankets and litter boxes. You are welcome to bring your dog or cat’s bedding, treats, and toys from home if you think it will make them feel more at ease, however we do supply all of those things for you.
We provide a healthy diet for all boarding guests, however, you are welcome to bring in a daily supply of your pet's food from home to avoid any upset tummies. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each boarded pet, and our veterinarian will be alerted if any problems are noted. Patients who are boarding and require medications will receive their meds as prescribed. We want your pets to be happy and healthy while they are in our care.
All boarding guests must be up to date on their shots and parasite free for their own protection and for the safety of other boarders and patients. Pets may be dropped off or picked up during normal business hours Monday through Friday. On weekends and holidays if our clinic is closed, pick up and drop off times are 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
